When Microsoft announced that Windows 10 would be arriving on the Raspberry Pi 2 in 2015 I became extremely excited at the possibilities that this would bring the maker community. To celebrate I wanted to design a case for the Pi 2 that incorporated the Windows 10 logo.

I decided to search Thingiverse before starting my design to see if anyone had beaten me to the punch as there is no reason to spend hours reinventing the wheel. To my delight, Thingiverse user jayftee had just released a new version of his Safe and Secure Raspberry Pi case. The Safe and Secure Raspberry Pi 2B Case included several different designs of which one incorporated the Windows logo.

This was perfect, except that it did not include any cutouts for easy GPIO access, or any provisions for ribbon-cabled accessories such as the Pi Camera. Luckily for me jayftee was kind enough to include the Sketchup .skp file in the thing's files. (Something everyone should do I might add) This allowed me to edit the case to fit my needs.

I added a cut out for the GPIO pins, and two slots for ribbon cable accessories. These are not extruded all the way through and a thin .5mm layer will need to be cut away for use. I did this because not everyone will need these slots, and those who do, can simply use an Exacto knife to remove the thin plastic.

You can download the .stl files for this case by clicking the link at the top of this article or, by clicking here. I have also included my modified .skp files in the event someone needs to modify this design further. As always, a huge thanks goes out to our site sponsors including Voltivo and Cubicity for making post like this possible through their support of the 3D Printing section here at The Makers Workbench.
